17thfloor (590), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 17, 2008 Updated: May 18, 2008 Thanks xnoxhatex! Pours black with a small creamy white bubbly head. Huge milk -chocolate aroma and a touch of hops. Milk-chocolate flavor, sugary, condensed milk, and a nice bit of hops. I really enjoyed this different take on an Imperial Stout. This is more of a big ABV sweet than an IRS. Super creamy body, somewhat syrupy, but quite fluffy. Wonderful beer!
doublebock (143), USA Jul 26, 2008 Solid black color with little to no head. Roasted coffee and malt aroma. Nice roasted caramel malit at the end. A bit too flat, maybe just got a bad bottle. fidel (69), Livermore, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 Black, Chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, Dark fruits, vanilla, creamy, smooth finish. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jul 8, 2008 Bottle. A dark black body with chocolate and coffee. Some light sweetness and coffee with a roasty finish. Some etoh and creamy vanilla. great mouth feel overburnt so hoped to balance almost works well made but I can think up 3 I.R. stouts that blow this one away, also they are a bit cheaper, this grolsch style bottle set me back 5 bucks. The alcohol and burnt malt are on set for a good Stout, but somethings missing. I don’t have any carb problem like some of the other reviews, its not suppose to be champagne. Beerman6686 (565), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 4, 2008 Poured a very nice black color with a tan head. Aroma was very strong and complex. Flavor was of thick chocolate, bitter espresso, alcohol and some caramel maybe, pretty good stout.
