Appearance: Deep Gold with a cream colored head.
Aroma: Grapefruit and pine resin.
Flavor: Malt then citrus, then alcohol then back to malt and citrus.
Palate: Full bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: A nice malty IPA. I enjoy having a well hopped beer that is more than just a hop bomb.

Bottle - Pours clear light amber with a foamy white head. Nose is caramel sweet malt and muted pine hops. Smells old. Tons of sweet honey malt in the taste, with muted pine hops and a long malty finish. Medium body with nice carbonation. A real disappointment.

12oz bottle. Poured a light amber color with a fingers worth of an off-white head that left great lacing. The aroma was of citrus, pineapple and mango. The taste centered more around the pineapple and citrus, but had a good deal of sweetness that balanced the beer very well.

Without dates on the bottles, it's a bit like Russian roulette if your going to get a reasonably fresh hoppy bottle or a tired, tropical, malty bottle... With that said, like Racer 5, a great go to West Coast style IPA. I think Racer 5 has a bit better mouthfeel, though for a readily available IPA, no complaints..
