COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with extra hops and malt in the English tradition, but with West Coast style. This deep golden India Pale Ale is artfully balanced with a fresh, powerful aroma and a luscious finish.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2014 Top IPA. huge bitterness in the finish even though it says itís just 65 IBUs. superb malt backing, some biscuit and toffee in the beginning but aromatic and floral hops finish it off in a very complex and delicious way. this is really how it should be done in California, and anybody that says otherwise is crazy. get it fresh and donít look back. at "only" 7% abv and 65 IBUs this beer is jam packed with flavor.

This was a bottle received in a trade, may have been old. Poured amber gold with a thin but dense head, Hoppy and malty - too much malt flavor for my taste. It was yesterday that I drank it, and I did not make notes at the time, so no details on the profile. Bottom line, it was not one of my favorites, but YMMV.

On tap at The Daily Pint. Clear golden brown with an egg-white head that left excellent lace. Aromas of biscuity malt and flowery hops. Pine and grapefruit hop flavors poke through a strong doughy malt base. Medium body and carbonation, sticky mouthfeel and a crisp bitter finish.

On tap at Firestone Public House, some soapiness, but otherwise good flavor and aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Above average IPA. It has a nice piney and citrus aroma. The color is bronze and copper with a little bit of cloudiness. The palate was an average weight with a good amount of carbonation given its age. It was a nice blend of malts and hops with a good bitter finish. Well-rounded and refreshing.

Bottle. Very lifted malt, fruit, and subtle hops. A little funky with darker malt or slightly sour nose. Spice, citrus and tropical aromatics. Deep golden to red. Clear. Solid froth. Full body. Slightly bitter. Rich. Loads of flavour and great complexity. Very balanced with the exception of the bitterness.

Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. Fruity and grassy hops, lightly sweet malts, and medium bitterness. Maybe a touch old? Thereís no date on the bottle so who knows. Not bad, but not great either.

Bottle dated bottled on 6/17/13. Pour has an orange amber color and a thin coating of white head. Aroma has caramel malt, light bitterness, and some citrus. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation medium low. Flavor again does not pop with hops for me, caramel malt, light citrus, and some bitterness.

Bottle from 16 Tons Taphouse, Eugene. Pours a light amber color, moderate amount of white head. Aroma bright and slightly fruity, citrus notes. Maybe some malty sweetness in there as well. Body very lively, finish becomes creamy, rich and malty with a good sharp overriding bitterness. Good enough as is, would love it try it on tap.

Bottle. A winner from Drakes. Clear orange with pillowy white head. Aroma is sweet citrus. Flavour: citrus, sweet malt and evergreen. Very long citrus hop finish.
