Draft. Blackish beer with a light tan head. Wine and malt aroma. Wine and earthy flavor with malt. Medium bodied. Wine and malt linger with earthiness and light hops.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2010 On tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Fest. Pours a dark brown color with a small lasting tan head. The aroma is vinous with tartness evident, oak, dark chocolate, and roast. The flavor is very nice and interesting. Tart, vinous, and oaky with caramel, chocolate, and fruity notes. Medium-full body with slight acidity and a dry mouthfeel. Good stuff, better than most of Drake’s other offerings at this event.

Tasted at the Bistro Barrel aged fest. Pours brown with a tan head. The aroma is thick with merlot and a touch of chocolate. The flavor is also very vinous with red wine. Didn’t take very good notes on this one, but I remember liking it a lot.

On tap at Bistro BA Fest poured a clear dark brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of grapes, dark chocolate, oak and carmel. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of grapes, oak, carmel, horse blanket and a hint of leather with a crisp dry lingering tart funky finish.

Pours deep brown with a thin, dark tan head. Full nose of chocolate, vinous fruit, oak and some tart berry. Same in the flavor with a touch of a funky fruit tartness.

On tap at the Bistro BA festival. Pours dark brown/black with a beige head. Lots of grape and oak in the aroma. Smells a tad sour. Med body. It’s definitely a little sour; and grapey and oaky. It persists with the grapey sour to the end. Or maybe my sour is just the oak. Whatever, it’s pretty tasty stuff.

On tap at the Bistro BA festival. Pours black with a decent tan head and a chocolate aroma. There is a sour chocolate flavor with a very dry finish and lots of oak.
