3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on 9/10/2011 at Beer Revolution. This Imperial Stout pours an eclipse black color from the tap. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, port wine and sweet. A medium to full bodied Imperial Stout. The malts are chocolate and coffee, port wine and wood. The hops are earthy. Some wine tartness going on here, which blends nicely with the chocolate, coffee and wood. Mild carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, smooth and tart. The aftertaste is tart.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at Beer Revolution. It pours black with a disappearing brown head. The aroma has blackberries, vinegar and light hints of nuttiness and dark chocolate. The flavor is nice with a good combination of tart berries and dirty roast. A little harsh on the alcohol with a touch of nail polish remover in the finish, but overall pretty good.
