COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Pink Boots Saison is our rendition of a classic Belgian Farmhouse Ale with a California edge. Made with California grown 2-row barley and malted white wheat and hopped with traditional European hops and a hint of Citra hops from the Yakima Valley, Wash. for a modern American touch. The beer is then fermented with a Belgian Saison yeast strain that imparts the classic aromas of banana, spice. Light, crisp and juicy this beer is everything you expect from a great Saison with a mild hoppy edge and pleasantly dry finish. All the proceeds from the sales of this beer will go toward the Pink Boots Society Scholarship Fund. The Pink Boots Society is a non-profit organization created to inspire, encourage and empower women to advance their careers in the Beer Industry through networking and education.

Pours a fairly clear golden color with a fluffy white head. A nice fruity, estery aroma. A bit of spice, mostly pepper, and yeast. Some bready malt and wheat, too. Sweet bread and a touch of sugar. Some light fruits like apples. A subtle spice flavor as well as yeast. Light to medium bodies with medium carbonation.

On tap at Drakes Barrel House poured a hazy gold with a smal lingering white head. Aromas of straw, white pepper and citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of straw, white pepper and light fruittiness with a smooth dry lingering pepper finish.

A - Cloudy golden-orange color with a big finger of frothy white head. Fades slowly with some nice lacing. S - Sweet caramel malt with some grain with some banana and some floral elements. Tough of light spice. T - Sweet caramel and some grain with a bit of lemon zest and yeast. Through the middle some stringer banana notes with some more floral elements come through. Finish is a mix of yeast, grain, and some floral flavors. M - Medium bodies with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a nice eatery mouthfeel. D - Very drinkable with a some nice yeast flavor and floral elements. Nicely balanced overall.

On draft at the Barrel House. It pours a golden yellow color with a white head. The aroma is spicy with clove and some gum. The flavor is very dry and slightly phenolic with some big clove, pepper and light bubblegum in the finish. Could have used a bit more fruity sweetness.

Draft. Golden beer with a whitish head. Yeast and spice aroma. Sweet malt and light caramel flavor with spice, yeast, and fruity esters. Medium bodied. Fruitiness and sweet malt lingers with yeast and spice.

On tap at barrel house. Pours cloudy yellow with a decent off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a robust fruity pale malt flavor with some banana and a heavy yeast presence. This is a nice saison.
