3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap exclusively at Pete’s brass rail and carwash in Danville, CA. I was told this is a pale ale/rye mix. It pours a dark amber color with a tan head. Very dark for a pale ale. Fruity, hoppy aroma and the taste is tropical with mango, papaya etc. It has a strong bitter finish but with a sugary sweet backbone throughout. Pretty unusual beer. It leaned more toward the IPA category IMO. It reminded me of Dale’s. Very good beer.
