4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This inky brew had some heft to it, bit none of us beleived it was really 11.5%! Covers the abv well. Thick, juicy hops in the nose...grapefruit, orange peel, pine, chocolate, molasses, coffee...alot going on in the nose and mouth. Bitter leaning but well balanced and deeeeelicious. I’d definitely buy in bottles."

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark nearly opaque black with a very large brown head and nice lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, pine resin, just a touch of roastiness. Flavor is the same, very IPA-like with the black part taking a backseat. Light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this one late in the evening at the ratebeer gallery event. Not a lot written in the notes, but I remember it being a very strong, piney IPA with the black malts taking a back seat. Tons of pine. I give them credit for making a palatable black IPA at 11.4%. Very fresh and potent. Good job again Drakes!
