marcus (918), Sacramento, California, USA Jul 25, 2008 This cloudy yellow beer poured with a thin white head. There is a sound malt base with some carbonation and an acidic mouth feel. Nicely hopped. AgentSteve (621), Livermore, California, USA Jul 3, 2008 On tap @ City Beer, pours a hazy gold with off white head. The nose is bready but faint. The flavor is quite nice for the style, with biscuit breadness and some decent hops. Light, refreshing and very drinkable. mmm///beer (470), Austin, Texas, USA May 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle in trade from stoutlover72. Into the footed pilsner it went- poured slightly cloudy orange-yellow, thin white head bubbled and went away, slight lacing, low carbonation. Aroma of a heavy wheat malt, honey, and young green pears. Hits the mouth with a thin defined body, malt is very easy to find and enjoyable, some extremely soft notes of sugar and spice in the middle, finish is crisp and clean. WOW- too bad I don’t have this stuff locally or else it a case would be in my frig on a regular basis to deal with the 3 months of Texas hell heat. Recommended for the style. Stine (1279), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Apr 30, 2008 Pours to a beautiful, hazed, vibrant golden kiwi appearance; it’s going to be a refreshing, crisp pilsner but clearly one with some body and texture to it. Awesome. Aroma mostly of honey and biscuity pils malt; trace of pear, gritty grains, and herbal Saaz notes. Clean, crunchy cereal grain and dry almond flavor; some crispy, leafy citrus touch. Salty, cracker crumb midpalate. Dried out fruit flavors open up a bit, becoming redolent of summertime orchards and floral meadows. Morningtime misty bitterness. Palate is light to medium bodied; somewhat acidic with a soft, spritzy texture. Finishes on a return to starchy grain, some grass, and peppercorn spiciness; winsome. Love that bold, dry Saaz flavor permeating those ultra-clean malts. Thanks Andy!
