Pours dark amber with some reddish tint to it, and fairly hazy with a light head. Smell is very floral and perfumey with a good dose of alcohol as well. Taste is much the same with a floral, fruity maltiness and balancing hoppiness with a good amount of rich maltiness. Alcohol does show somewhat and detracts a bit for me. Not as smooth as I hoped but a decent flavor. Drinkability is moderate in this one. Not one of their better house beers though, in my opinion.

Dark hazy maroon. Gorgeous amounts of rich hops on the nose. Sweetness abound. Lots of hops on the taste. A fantastic sweet finish that lingers forever. This is very well mixed.

Dark amber pour with red glints. Malt, hops and yeasty flavors in the nose...and in the flavor. Darker fruits than I expected, but enjoyable.

On tap at Draught House (4-2-09)- poured ruby with shades of brown, small head, aroma that had malt with sweetness, hops, and alcohol in the background. Hits the mouth with a high-low body, malt has a dark fruit feel of sweetness to it, alcohol is a little too apparent but it works with this brew, finish has a pleasant burn to it. I like it, but maybe that’s just me.

A plum, amber color, 1/2 inch head. Sweet malt dark fruit aroma. Syrup like texture. Flavor is strong fruity malt and alcohol. Finish has a puckering hop quality. Weak burn on the way down. Hides its strength well. Lacing is light but intricate.
