Heavy chocolate and malt aroma. Nice sweet chocolate taste. Black with decent head and lacing. Rich and smooth. So similar to hot chocolate - it is scary. A bit watery - but I am a bit picky.

(Draught) Pours a murky brown body with a small cream head. Aroma of chocolate maltballs, grain, cookie dough, and lactose. Flavor of chocolate, grain, some cola, and caramel with a dry, bitter finish.

On tap at the Draught House 42nd Anniversary Party. The beer pours a nice brown color with a tan head. The aroma is basic porter with a lot of roasted malt and chocolate notes. The flavor is more of the same, with the chocolate dominating the flavor. The roasted malt is also present and there is a little bit of earthy hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice porter.

That’s just about delicious. Black beer with almost no head. Roasted cocoa malt and coffee aroma. Velvety moutfeel sith a strong bite. Sweet malty and powdered cocoa flavors dominate. Chocolately aftertaste is strong and offset well by the hops.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2007 Pours black with a light tan head. Nice rich and opaque. Smell is divine. Aromas of vanilla, coffee, cream, chocolate, cookies, and whoppers. Taste is similar rich flavors, good roastiness and a touch of bitterness. I hope they keep this guy around, as it was quite well recieved by my girlfriend and I both. Just a bit thin bodied, unfortunately.
