Draught House Rum Barrel Red

dark copper pour, nice white head. aroma is cinnamon and caramel. taste is the sweetest ever. kraft caramels flavor wit hredhots. the finish is soo damn sweet and clingy. uncomfortable . too damn sweet for my blood.

Pour is clear amber reddish with a nice dense tan head...smell is caramel, oak, vanilla, mild rum notes...taste is initially sweet with caramel and nutty toasty malt...some alcoholic notes come out toward the finish with bitterness as well...there is also something astringent that seems off but melds very well with the rum notes...

Had on tap at the brewpub in Austin. Pours a medium amber with a nice creamy off-white head; decent lacing. Aroma has some sweety nutty notes with a trace of caramel. Flavor is sweet and pleasing and far from cloying. Has some woody, earthy notes and some caramel to even it out with a touch of vanilla thrown in for good measure. Detect the rum near the finish. Velvety smoot mouthfeel - stays strong to the finish/.

Dark orange appearance. Flavor is sweet cherries and orange flavored rum and wood. Sweet acetone and vanilla aroma, chemical-like... I suppose that supposed to the be the sharp alcohol wafting around from the rum. Cola-like texture, fizzy and a little thin... Unique for sure but not perfect. Would love to try other brewers use rum barrels.

Pours a clear red with a creamy head and nice lacing. Notes of vanilla, oak, rum, and makt in the nose. Complex spicy flavor with vanilla, rum, malt, and licorice. Smooth and creamy texture. Nice short finish. Great beer.
