3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Walt (2448) - Austin, USA - MAY 28, 2006
Pour is hazy dark golden, almost amber with a small ring of an off white head (due to the pour, if given a proper pour, it would get some extra points for appearance...but I will just give it an average score as a result)...smell is yeast, orange, sweet malt, subtle hints of corriander...quite aggressively hoppy for a saison, not what I was expecting...good, just not what I expected...I was expecting a traditional saison, but this is Deluxe...citrus, and sweet yeasty doughy flavors, quickly followed up by some light citrus and definate bitter notes...this seems a tad too experimental for me, but creative and a nice effort...
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 kidmartinek (1849) - austin, Texas, USA - AUG 7, 2009
Pours apricot cloudy with a 1" head that vanishes before its enjoyed twice. Its built with a clean lagering yeast and draws down without lacing. Aroma of apricot, and other oily fruits of the citrus variety. Taste is sweet and skinny with a strong bitter backend. Texture is a little rugh and a bit unforgiving. Finish starts sweet but is trampled by a srtong bitter overcoat. Cheers.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 fiulijn (10407) - Como, ITALY - JAN 7, 2007
Draught at the brewpub Hazy light amber color. Nice hoppy aroma, with some resins. The mouthfeel is thin, I would expect more malt, but the hopping is quite good.

On draught. It’s a cloudy golden, orange color with a medium-sized head. Nice yeasty, Belgian aroma. The flavor is nice and clean with good fruity yeast and malt flavors. Tastes like some orange peel, too. Very drinkable. Great beer.

The aroma is an assortment of different types of wood, and the flavor is not far behind. This one starts out good, but a split-second after the intial taste it does a corpse move- it turns to dirt. Yuck.

Pours a murk light orange hue with good head and some lacing. Citrus and coriader nose. Mediu body with a good hop bitterness of citrus and pine. I get orange, pepper, and lemon in the flavor. Very smooth and drinkable. I could drink the one all night long.
