slimchill (694), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 15, 2008 Draught. Nose is strong citrus hops with some appropriate diacetyl buttery notes. Fairly clear golden brown with very little head. Good mouthfeel, it fills the mouth without being too thick, and asserts itself with a strong bitterness. Flavor has undertones of hay, butter, and grains beyond the citrus bitterness up front. Very well balanced.
kidmartinek (776), austin, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2008 On cask: pale golden, small white film head. Aroma is dirty malt, lots of barley and faint bitter hops. Flavor is very full for such a light colored beer, and dominated by bitter hops and a little dirtiness, and ending a little fruity and sweet. Lacing is intricate. The beer has a medium/light body and light, creamy texture. The finish is strong and tastes like grain. For what this beer is, its very good for the style. It is a little on the heavy side though, since for a session, I was expecting something less filling. Overall, it’s not my favorite though.
