Pailhead (2339), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Sep 10, 2005 Bottle: Aroma is lightly sweet (almost Red Bull-ish) with a hint of skunk and grass. Pours a transparent gold, as opposed to the pale yellow of most pale lagers, so that’s a bonus. Moderate white head that fades quickly. Flavor is pretty bad. Euro-lager sweetness with what seems like an extra sugar kick and hints of apple. A tad of funky sourness with a grassy hop finish that struggles to get past all the sweetness. ivan9856 (122), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 9, 2005 500 ml bottle pours golden yellow with smallish, quickly vanishing white head (no lacing). Aroma is quite bland, but more or less damp straw or cardboard. A light malt palate entry moves quickly to a watery, characterless finish. Weak hop flavor and lack of mid-palate depth contribute to poor rating. guzzler67 (1162), Hanover, Maryland, USA Nov 10, 2004 Light yellow appearance with a decent head. Aroma was pretty weak, primarily grain. Bit of a fruity taste as it warmed, but not enough to offset the lack of depth on the flavor. Thin, mediocre finish. jgb9348 (1863), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Oct 28, 2004 Pale golden colour with almost no head at all. Aroma of pure skunk, some malt, cardboard and just about nothing else. Light-bodied; Perfumey malt in the taste with some bittering aspects. Aftertaste is very clean, no harsh flavours roaming at all. Overall, not the worst beer-but gets too much attention, just for the label and name. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased at Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 29-September-2004. bu11zeye (3887), Frisco, Texas, USA Oct 4, 2004 (Bottle) Pours a light golden body with a large white head. Aroma of perfume and butter. Flavor of corn and citrus. Somewhat bittter finish.
