1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 Pailhead (3436) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - SEP 10, 2005
Bottle: Aroma is lightly sweet (almost Red Bull-ish) with a hint of skunk and grass. Pours a transparent gold, as opposed to the pale yellow of most pale lagers, so that’s a bonus. Moderate white head that fades quickly. Flavor is pretty bad. Euro-lager sweetness with what seems like an extra sugar kick and hints of apple. A tad of funky sourness with a grassy hop finish that struggles to get past all the sweetness.

500 ml bottle pours golden yellow with smallish, quickly vanishing white head (no lacing). Aroma is quite bland, but more or less damp straw or cardboard. A light malt palate entry moves quickly to a watery, characterless finish. Weak hop flavor and lack of mid-palate depth contribute to poor rating.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 guzzler67 (1393) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - NOV 10, 2004
Light yellow appearance with a decent head. Aroma was pretty weak, primarily grain. Bit of a fruity taste as it warmed, but not enough to offset the lack of depth on the flavor. Thin, mediocre finish.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 jgb9348 (3496) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 28, 2004
Pale golden colour with almost no head at all. Aroma of pure skunk, some malt, cardboard and just about nothing else. Light-bodied; Perfumey malt in the taste with some bittering aspects. Aftertaste is very clean, no harsh flavours roaming at all. Overall, not the worst beer-but gets too much attention, just for the label and name. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased at Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 29-September-2004.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bu11zeye (10165) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 4, 2004
(Bottle) Pours a light golden body with a large white head. Aroma of perfume and butter. Flavor of corn and citrus. Somewhat bittter finish.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Nuffield (3087) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - OCT 2, 2004
Yellow with some head on the edge. Fruity notes in the aroma, with faint German hops (it is encouraging, when typing in my notes, when I have the same comments as previous raters). There is a bit of sweet corn here, but not much else. Moderate palate. Worked o.k. with fajitas.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 TheBeerGod (4131) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - JUN 6, 2004
Well, at least I got Romania. Pours yellow with a TALL white head. Very carbonated. Aroma seems sort of stale. Faint European hops, some artificial sweetened notes, and malt. Taste is also fairly sweet with more malt and fruit coming out. Odd beer, like a fruit beer mixed with a pale lager. Finish is a bit on the bitter side. Mouthfeel is overly carbonated. Not as horrible as I perceived it to be.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 JonR888710 (999) - Cochabamba, BOLIVIA - MAY 22, 2004
"I want to suck your... beer." Gold body, white head ala budweiser. Smells like lager hops, water and rice. Strong taste, borderline malt liquor strength. Dark hop flavor. Aftertaste is rough malt and cherries. This thing packs a bite, pardon the pun. Hell, at least I can say I’ve had a Romanian beer. Sampled from a bottle purchased at Chevy Chase wine and spirits in Washington, DC.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Eyedrinkale (3214) - Astoria, New York, USA - APR 4, 2004
Nothing to see here except for the cool label. Skunky aroma with yellow color. The head hung around for a bit but life's too short to drink the whole 16oz.
