Can 44 cl. Comes simply as "Tesco Bitter" at 2.1% - different beer? Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Unclean hoppy aroma. Thin body, light caramel notes and fruit. Finish is dry. 150110

Tin, as Tesco BB. Bright copper with a slim white lid. Sweet rusty tin aroma with soap, fizz, sultana and brown sugar. Caramel and paper flavour, sugar slickness, watery currant and signature ferny Bank’s notes. Way too much metal. Just about drinkable. If you’re determined.

[440ml can of Tesco Best Bitter] Amber with a thick white head; sweet malt aroma; some malt syrup flavour, good grassy hops; rather sour finish. Not bad.

Can. Amber. Full of fizz. Some malt aroma, not unpromising. The taste has traces of malt and sourness, though not a great deal of bitterness. Well actually there’s no bitterness at all. The whole thing drifted away to a grim, watery conclusion. Second can was marginally better.

Plastic bottle from Tesco. Amber gold, moderate lasting white head and moderate condition. Gentle toffee and hop aromas, thin in the mouth with just a suggestion of toffee sweetness and mild hoppiness, muted bitter finish.

Big wobbly PET bottle from Tesco. Cheap as chips. Amber colour. Very gassy. Not much aroma. Slightly malty flavour but, again, there’s not a lot there. Difficult to be too hard on this beer - its designed as a cheap glugger and that’s just what it is.

Bottle 26/07/2004 Mid brown coloured smooth on the palate and slightly hoppy. Some dryness in a crisp finish.

This takes things to a whole new level, though this was just tesco bitter not, best bitter. 21p a can and 2.1%. Its got banter written all over it. T o be honest its what ud expect for the money, dark golden colour, lightly beer tasting, which is always a bonus. One for the banter anyway.
