Chocolate and fruity malt aroma. Some sweetness. Watery mouthfeel. Very drinkable but entirely unexceptional.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2006
Plastic bottle, from Tesco. Deep deep ruby red, fluffy but shortlived beige head and moderate condition. Sweet roasted barley and traces of berries in the nose, gentle soft sweet maltiness with a little smokiness and traces of coffee. Gentle sweet and roasted bitterness in the finish.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2005
2 litre plastic bottle from Tesco. And after buying it, I noticed it was past its sell by date. So I wasn’t expecting much and I didn’t get it. Very dark colour with a hint of red. Distinctly cloudy, which was a surprise. Stagnant malty aroma. Caramel and dark malt flavour. Carbonation is not excessive. Piss weak and very thin. But, in the end, it was perfectly drinkable, so I shouldn’t be too harsh in the marking..
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 SilkTork (4737) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - MAR 27, 2005
Light bodied caramel mild with some roasted barley tones. Tickling carbonation. Lacks character, but is excellent value for money and is not offensive.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2002
Bottled. This beer seemed ominous - apparently they only sell it in 2litre re-sealable plastic bottles (around 3 ½ pints), and it’s dirt cheap, just £2.00 a bottle, which is less than a pint would cost you in a pub. A shade lighter than black, with a bit of red, slight head. Full-bodied - burnt, coffee like taste, with no discernable chocolate flavours and dryish finish. Better than it would appear at first.
