Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy dark brown color with large creamy brownish head, poor lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dust, roasted malt and dried fruits. Taste starts with sweet caramel malt and grassy sourness, following is heavily roasted with coffee notes, spicy mouthfeel and moderate bitter finish. Medium body, thick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Surprisingly good beer with well hidden alcohol and bit too sweet...

Great smoky and caramel aroma. Small, quickly disappearing head. Dark brown, clear body. Intensive caramel taste with some hints of smoke. A bit watery palate but still very good.

Quite nice blackish-brown pour with a dark tan head. Some nut, malt, red grape, bread, and a touch of coffee. Quite a bit more interesting than I expected after trying the pilsner!

So far this is one of the best beer i have had, this is such a nice beer, that I am planning on going back to Budapest on Holiday to sample some more as I am unable to find it in the UK. Lovely Smooth dark, malty, spiced chocolaty flavour.

Ser ut som en coca cola i färg och skum. Ganska söt doft, karamell och bränt socker. Även viss kryddighet, fikon och mörk frukt. Nĺgot tunnare i smaken och sötman tar över nĺgot för mycket för min smak.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small pale brown head. Faintly translucent dark red body. Earthy chocolatey licorice aroma with minty notes. Dry-sweet earthy licorice and spice taste with chocolatey background. A kind of alcoholic tang hovers above it all. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy chocolate and licorice aftertaste with pumpernickel notes. Very nice. Full of flavour and character, with some complexity. (0.5l bottle in a café in the royal palace in Budapest.)
