COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2014 Beige head over a very dark brown beer. Smells sweet, with coffee and liquorice notes. Taste is bready with some waterish coffee taste, and some liquorice too, and roasted malts. Medium body, but too waterish, flat. Average.

Lahev (Diky, Imro!): Deep ruby-amber coloured, stable lacy tanned head, molasses, caramel and a certain malt-bitterness in the nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, not sticky at all; dryish - a bit Stout-like - bitter-sweet finish with fruits and molasses.Yes, much better than suspected...

Marstonlad (411) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 31, 2012
Pours reddish dark brown with a mediocre, quickly fading head. Aroma has caramel maltiness, light roastiness and light fruity and metallic notes. Taste is sweet; it has caramel maltiness similar to many dark Czech beers and some roasted notes. The finish is a bit abrubt but alcohol is hidden well. Light to medium bodied - only. A stronger version of German and Czech style dunkels. Decent.

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a dense and steady beige foamy head. Roasted and slightly leafy malty aroma with notes of caramel, bread crusts and mildly burnt accents. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid roast-malty base with notes of leaves, caramel and molasses; moderately sweet and rounded roasty and hop bitter finish with a muted alcoholic strength. Good Bak. 17.X.12
