Draught at the brewery. Lovely pillowy head, hazy, bright yellow. Very bready, toasty nose. Sweet and bisctuiy flavor, with orange and lemon. A bit soapy and oily body. Rather lifeless. A bit tingly hop on the finish but it doesn’t really work that well.

Süßlich herber Antrunk, etwas dumpfer Mittelteil. Weiterhin etwas dumpf mit steigender Hopfigkeit, ok. 9/7/8/8//8

On tap at the Brewpub. Klares goldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen Schaumkrone. geruch leicht hopfig, malzig. Geschmack malzig, hopfig, dezent bitter.

TAR (2518) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - NOV 24, 2014
Draught at Drei Kronen in Aug. 2014: Deep golden with some haze. Lathery fringe of foam. Very dull and dirty nose of fusel alcohol, cake frosting, DMS, chemicals, decaying apples, vinegar, and paper. Foamy carbonation. Sticky and flabby body. Overly sweet and flawed, with prominent wet hay, DMS, and a soured fruitiness. Lemony hops fail to overcome the pervasive white vinegar flavors. Light metallic notes compound the sharp fusels. Curious saccharine sweetness clashes with hints of hairspray and ammonia. DMS and persistent sugars precede the flabby malts in the poorly attenuated finish. Another putrid creation from this seemingly cursed brewery...scarcely resembles beer. While we were cautiously hoping to find the beers in better condition than during our previous visits over the past 5+ years, it unfortunately was not to be. This is dizzyingly unclean, flawed, and uncannily industrial-like. Totally undrinkable to the point where even the smallest sip induces an involuntary wince response. Blargh.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2014 on tap at the brewpub, glad it was open this time, unlike my previous visit to memmelsdorf 7 years ago. clear golden with a thin but lingering white head; aroma of weet-bix, white grapeskin; medium bitterness, much cleaner than i was expecting - strangely enough, it could use a touch of diacetyl

Moravius (768) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 28, 2014

Molto maltata, miele millefiori, dolcezza molto persistente, bilanciamento finale di luppolo appena sufficiente. Nella norma.

3fourths (8498) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 5, 2014
In 2008 this was 4.0 level but I can’t trust my ratings from then. In 2011 it was a diacetyl bomb on a taster tray of similarly tainted beers. In 2014 it’s just as bad: diacetyl nose, acidic, buttery, dirty dish rag, etc. Metal flakes and DMS, skin bacteria and simple toasted grains. Medium light body, apple heavy, estery and faulty. Piss poor beer.

harrisoni (14856) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Hazy pale gold lasting white head. Pale malt aroma with some pepper hop. It’s a bit more malty than I would normally like but the hop builds to a good solid sting. Some esters maybe. Certainly a good hoppy sting and glad I stopped off here. Unrefined and raw but good

Draft. Pours golden orange with a fluffy white head. Clean pale malts, earthy and yeasty notes, light floral hops, and a relatively clean finish. Good, not great.
