On draught at the brewery-tap: Dark golden to amber coloured; very complex, nearly full-bodied brew: citrus,hops, malts: everything is in the taste; light but distinctive hoppy bitter finish; very smooth, very well quaffable !

Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, grass and light pine. Flavour is malt, toffee, grass, pine and fruit. Light bitter.

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de. 10.000 Tasting @ Home. Pours clear dark golden with a fluffy white head. A bit of paper and sweet malt. Toffee, caramel and hay. Medium bodied.

Golden with a small white head. Grainy malt aroma with grassy hops and a faint sulphur note. Dry malty flavour with grassy hop and a decent bitterness

Bottle. Sweet nose with honey and light flowers. Clear, pale golden body with a rocky cream-colored head. Taste somewhat sweet wto start, citus up front, dries slightly as it wends its way through great bready and yeasty flavors and light grass. Not sour but definitely has some zing to it! Unfortunately, body is watery, and the buttery and herbal tones will turn some off. Still, I liked it, and it’s repeatable.

500ml bottle. Clear golden with frothy white head. Grassy aroma. Thin, watery, one-dimensional. Nothing remarkable.

Bottle@Home. Sweet malts with the aroma of a dry sink. Yellow, off-white head, good lace. Malt sweet, malty, but that’s it, no hops. Soft mouth feel. Just not my taste.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty and sweetish aroma, faint butter. Moderate, malty and sweetish flavor, some butter. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, some butter with faint hoppyness. Sweetish kellerbier with some diacetyl.

Hopfiger Geruch, aromareich. Mild-süßlicher Verlauf bis zum Mittelteil mit hopfenaromatischen Einschlüssen. Malziger Schluß. Ordentlich. Test vom 3.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Ein extrem grasiger Geruch steigt mir in die Nase, der mich auf den Geschmack gespannt sein lässt. Einen grasigen Unterton, wie schon erwartet, lässt sich nicht verleugnen, aber außer einer ausgeprägten und von der Stärke wechdelnden Herbe bietet dieses Bier rein gar nichts. Zum Ende hin eigentlich nur noch wässrig. Mangelhaft! Test vom 13.10.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,4,10,3,6,3 - 4,75

The bottle looks good, as well as the beer in the glass. Starts a bit grasy-moldy, but turns then nicely hoppy-fresh with flowery notes. Finish more and more spicy and well balanced. Becomes better with every gulp. Good beer!
