The bottle looks good, but a bit complex. The beer in the glass is not too zippy, small head. Starts moldy-grasy, but turns then spicy with fine grasy-hoppy notes. Finish is well balanced, modest sourish. Not bad!

(bottle, dank an koelschtrinker!) pours a clear copper colour with a quickly-diminishing frothy off-white head. aroma of brown sugar, chocolate icing and toffee, with light hints of herbal hops and roasted malts. flavour is mostly the same, burnt toffee, caramel and light treebark, with a hint of yeast, brown sugar and earth. watery body with average carbonation.

(swing top bottle) Slightly hazy, amber coloured hue with a mid-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet and nutty toast-malty aroma with a faint fruity note and a light touch of herbal hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, quite slim bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly nutty taste with caramel; the beer dries out a bit towards the finish, getting a bit bitter with light herbal hoppy accents; lasting caramelly and moderately bitter aftertaste. A bit slim but also pretty drinkable.

Bügelverschlußflasche (in der Brauerei gekauft):Deep golden to light amber coloured, a bit unclear, slowly diminishing lacy white head, a mix of barnyardy and caramelly aromas in the nose, completed by adash of hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft MF; delicate caramelly-bitter finish. A good franconian brew....

Copper brown clear color, decent steady off-white, creamy head. Lemony hoppy nose. Light to medium bodied. Sweetish malty with a good malt profile märzen. Some lemony hops. Clean, malty "session märzen". This one would be excellent for drinking in quatities at München oktoberfest :)

(Bottled) Deep amber color with a small head. Very caramely-creamy aroma with strong butter and not much hops. Very buttery, sweetish-caramely-malty flavor with toffee hints. Very smooth, creamy mouthfeel with smooth, balanced carbonation. A very smooth and quite enjoyable festbier.

Orange brown color. Malt and butterscotch in the aroma. Wow, what a flavor! Malt, hops, whisky, raisin. Medium bodied. This fine beer shows flavor, strenght, complexity and drinkability.
