Bottled - Bedford Beer Festival. Lots of banana and rye aromas in this dark brown coloured beer. The taste is too sweet for me having banana and bubblegum galore.

Dark beer, drunk one year past sell-by date. Silky smooth with lively but gentle carbonation. No hop character but bursting with malt, rye and yeast derived flavours. A perfectly crafted beer and a real pleasure.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 20, 2004
Very dark red/brown colour. I haven’t had enough beers made with rye to isolate the characteristics associated with it, but there’s certainly everything but the kitchen sink in here. I picked up wheat (strong), caramel, vanilla, bready yeast, banana (faint) and roast malt. However, I found it a bit of a hotch potch and, in truth, too sweet for my palate. Interesting though. Bottled at Bedford Beer Festival 2004.
