COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Turfsteker is a dark beer with caramel flavor brewed with barley from Drente. It has the same characteristics like the peat from former days - a warming feeling and redbrown color. It's unfiltered and non-pasturized so all it's flavors come fully to their justice.

Bottled. The Aroma has a lot of caramel sweetness. Just a little roast. Bit hazy, brown coloured beer with an off white, medium head. Taste is quitesweet ends more bitter. There’s a lot of caramel malt again. You wouldexpect massive amounts of peat and smoke in a beer with this name, but nothing like that. Bit one dimensional.

Nice head that dissappates nicely. Red brownish. Started drinking it a little too cold. Needs some warming to develop. There is a little sourness to the beer, not sure if that was meant. Bottle from a Cheeseshop in the Klooserveen area of Assen.
