3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cuso (1771) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - MAR 2, 2012
Bottle with label Dreykorn St. Kunigunder Festbier, many thanks to Quack Duck. Clear dark golden color with large frothy white head. Malty aroma with roasted bread, caramel. Taste, very sweet, with honey, syrup, some biscuits, shy bitterness in background. Sweet finish with hints of light bitter hops. Little bit too much on sweet side for me, but drinkable.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011
11/11/12/9/10/11

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - OCT 29, 2007
(bottle, as St. Kunigunder Festbier) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Light-sweet and slightly cara-malty and fruity (pears) nose with shy herbal hoppy notes. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, crispy mf. Quite one-dimensional malt-accented, slightly grainy and subtle fruity taste; moderately sweet malty and minimal-fruity finish with a light herbal hoppy touch. Clean, but also a bit boring, otherwise drinkable.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pivnizub (7239) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 29, 2007
Bottle: Deep golden, lively carbonation, quickly diminishing off-whit loose head, bisquity, honeyish, sweet-malty nose with a good dash of "oaky" aromatic hops; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; shy sweetish-bitter finish with a metallic tinge and some aromatic hops in the aftertaste. Not great, a bit too shy.........
