Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
Strong malty bitter flavoured with ‘north down’ hops. The surfing beaches around ‘Aggie’ were once known as the ‘Badlands’ when strangers dropping in on locals’ waves would soon regret their action. Luckily they’ve grown up now!

Cask handpull, Driftwood Spars Hotel, Trevaunance Cove, Cornwall. Clear bronze with a slick white lid. Aroma hay and caramel; some soapy and oily hop; fresh biscuity malt, hints of toffee, hay and maple. Technically good but doesn’t do enough for me. Solid, unspectacular malty BB.

Bottle at Chriso’s Easter tasting 2012. It pours amber, with a thick white head. The nose is floral, honey and dough. The taste is lime, lemon, kiwi, citrus pith, hay, straw and floral, with a dry finish. Light to medium body and average carbonation. Decent citrus and ok balance.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours clear copper with a thin white head, lots of small bubbles. Aroma is malty and minerals. Taste is bitter at first sip, with some piney and earthy hops, Lingering dry, with a end which reminds me of some medicin.

Golden-amber colour. Aroma is fairly fruity. Earthy-fruity character with some slightly toasty-caramelly malts. Good bitter, but unspectacular.

Bottle from Brewpub. Copper with quite a thick head. Fruity and chalky aroma. Has dry, chalky palate with high carbonation. Has slight tartness at first, yielding to a nice earthy bitterness. Probably not at its best in bottle format but perfectly drinkable.
