Cask Stillage at Formby Hall, Atherton 29/01/2010 Some hop aroma. Bronze golden coloured and fruity with a crisp dry and bitter lasting finish.

Bottle from the brewpub. Light tan. Some haze and no head but the colour is nice. The aroma is faint. The taste is fairly bland, with just a little bit of hop bitterness.

Cask handpull, Driftwood Spars Hotel, Trevaunance Cove, Cornwall. Slightly misty orange gold under a thin slick. Overripe satsuma, red apple and good musky hop aroma if you go nosing. Big clout of bittering hop, tangy resins, grapefruit, mouldering apple, dry roasted, clean hobnobby malts, even some tiramisu and pecan-like richness. Quite a rasp of bittering hop, but you get used to it. Clean and good.

Cask conditioned Gravity Dispense Queen Adelaide Northampton. A dark copper coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma has a litle toffee and fruit. The taste is a bit malty but pretty plain and dull really. Nowt wrong with it.
