Bottle shared by blomster at the RBWG Grand Tasting - thanks again, Christer! Pours a hazy rose-amber color with a small off-white head. Notes of apples, cranberry, rose petal, minerals, and pale malts. Not a lot of oak, not overly sour. Light-bodied, with a mineral, tart mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Good, clean sour.

pours hazy copper-reddish with a nice creamy light beige head, good retention and nice lacing. tons of phenolic components from dark cherries with their cinnamon spiciness as well, quite reminiscent of kriek mariage parfait as per the cherry profile, not the funk, although there is a lactic/citric/acetic microflora - tart and never overdone, some cheese, quite woodsy and tannic, sweetness - under control but fairly present - bit of brown sugar and dark cherry meat. average to moderate carbonation, light to medium body - oily, lightly sweet, tart and grassy-spicy finish. nice offering!

Boutip (4509) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 5, 2014
Bottle: Poured a deep reddish color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of intense cherry notes with some tart flavours and some light sweet undertones. Taste is a wonderful mix between some intense cherry notes with some tart notes that are well a balanced against some residual sugar notes. Oak and light vinous notes are also noticeable. Body is quite full with limited filtration. Very enjoyable beer which is almost a mix between Rodenbach and New Glarus.
