3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from anon, thanks a lot H.! Pours a nice clear copper with a thin white head that doesn’t hold too good but still leave fine lacing. Nose indeed hoppy, aaaahhh! This smells like summer to me. Aroma is of citrusy but not quite grapefruity hops and perfume. Intense but really well made. Taste is bitter and malty, more bitter than malty. Flavors are of again citrus, fresh grains and caramel. Bitterness is medium-strong and lingers for a good time. Body is on the lighter side, carbonation soft. I didn’t expect to like this one as much as I do, yum!

The thing I love about this beer is its balance. It’s well hopped but not over the top bitter. Enough body and acidity to make for a wonderful mouth feel. Beautiful taste and aroma - pine and grapefruit come to mind. My absolute go to beer.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Slightly cloudy amber great full head. Nice hoppy smells. Pine hoppy flavor that hits hard upfront but fades gently. Palate is left with light residue but still refreshed.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
An I insanely good IPA. Thanks to a good friend who respects this beer nerd enough to bring him back some treasures from Vancouver. Pours a golden orange with white head and spotty lacing. Aromas are crazy dank and resinous. Green and piney notes with hints of citrus. Flavors follow suit.. Dank, meaty, and aggressively hoppy. This is a world class IPA.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Soapy, sticky white froth that rings over an amber-blonde body.
Mandarin, floral and nectar on the nose. Caramel, mango and shortbread with resin, ruby grapefruit and passion fruit hops. Grapefruit zest finish and catty Simcoe linger.
Crisp, chewy, light leaning towards medium. Excellent IPA that leave the pine in the trees.

Tap. Pours a great deep orange colour with a nice white head. Nose is giving me lots of pine and caramel malts. Even booze is showing there. Great for a BC beer!! Taste is pretty good amount of pine and grapefruit. Usual malty backing wacks a bit of bitterness for ya too. Pretty good stuff. Happy with that one.!

This is a great British Columbia IPA. Pours amber colour with an off-white two finger head. Citrus notes are pronounced. Citrus on the tongue with some pine. Bitter finish. Very refreshing.

A: pours an apricot honey ale with less than a single finger of soapy white head. This dissipates to a broken sheet of the same atop a near excellent clarity brew. Spotty lace.
S: sweet biscuit malts and bubble gum and citrus hops. Best nose I’ve had in BC so far.
T: nice bitter pinch with plenty of those bubble gum flavors and citric rinds. Just a hint of the malt comes thru this beast making it almost like a summer American ipa, but a blend of west coast and great lakes style hop scheduling.
M: really thin, moderate carb and dry finish. Would like a little more body.
O: probably the best ipa I’ve had from the few breweries I’ve sampled here in Victoria. They could probably sell this stateside without any trouble (on tap).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper-amber under a bubbly coppery head with lace that climbs up the sides of my glass as if trying to escape. Head lingers blotchy and bubbly. Swirls with swathes of lace and tons of head.
Massive citrus and pine up front with just a hint of cat-pee in the back. Biscuit malt and crackers underneath.
Medium weight in the front and thins out just a smidge in the back. Gentle rind and pine finish lingers long after each quaff. Caramelized biscuit malt crunch underneath and along the sides. Cat pee in the breath – again mild and not off-putting.
Overall a solid IPA with bold flavors though a bit lacking in the complexity. I’d be more than happy to drink another though.
