3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to tulip
Aroma of grapefruit, resin, and pine. Slightly hazy amber with a long lasting thin white head. A bit of orange, grapefruit, and pine needle with long lasting bitterness.

Fat tug is what actually converted me to craft beers. A very bitter, angry and heavy taste, something you want to enjoy slowly, not necessarily a summer beer.

Bomber to snifter (shared with jmborggren and the Mrs.; thanks DuffMan). Looks good; a mostly transparent deep orange with off-white head. Smells malty first and hoppy second with a solid mouthfeel. Solid beer.

An amazing American style IPA. Top scores all around. I would put this up against the best rated IPA’s in the world.

Absolutely delicious IPA. Beautiful flavours and great aromas. Probably one if BC’s best.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sour citrus and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy citrus bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where surpassed.

22 ounce bottle from The Punk Bicycle, extra points since I'm on vacation, piney, floral aroma, medium disappearing head, crisp.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. I haven’t rated an IPA in a while. Aroma of trees and honey. Snowy head. Bitter taste. Yes, I liked it.

Thanks dresden for this one! Pale orange colour with foamy white head. Vibrant piney and herb aroma. Taste is initially bitter with quite a sweet finish. Palate could be more active. Overall, quite nice.

If a "Hoppy" beer is what you are after and you would like to enjoy the full spectrum of well crafted IPA, then Fat Tug is for you. This prefect brew has a cult-like following, that is well deserved. Found all over the south of B.C. and destined to represent what the local brewers can accomplish for years to come.
