Crisp very slightly hazy amber and light copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall light off-white head. Aroma of very pungent grassy, piney and citrusey hops with some light metallic notes and a bit of alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Very grassy and herbal flavour up front from the hops with some decidedly pungent notes at the end with a good balance of malt. Aftertaste shows a light piney flavour with some lighter malt notes, a bit of alcohol and some fresh cut grass flavour as well. Overall, a nice PNW IPA with a bit more grass than those from the USA and much less malt, making this on par with a decent West Coast IPA in total. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Steamworks Liqour Store in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 08-June-2015 for CA$6,90 sampled at home in Washington on 30-August-2015.

Bottle gifted to me by my parents. Thanks! A: Cloudy orange color with a foamy off-white head. N: Potent grapefruit and pine in the forefront. Ample earth and peppercorn. Some mango and melon, maybe a far cry of pineapple. Leaves and crackers. Bit of damp autumn. T: Stickingly bitter underpinned by a noticeable sweetness. M: Very resinous, medium body, foamy carbonation, and its fair share of alcohol. O: A scraping West Coast IPA. Has a nice balance between fruit and floral, but this one is also just outside my strike zone. Not by much though; it;s still worthy.

Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing a hazed, orangey gold color, with a decent layer of bubbly, white head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was dank, with some grain, citrus & pine, and a bit of lurking alcohol. The taste added a citrusy & earthy bitterness, a bit of tartness, and some exposed alcohol presence. Medium bodied, with fair carbonation, and good hop intensity.

Bottle (650 ml) from DuffMan, thanks! Deep hazy amber pour with rich lacy white head. Aroma is quite hoppy, tons of piney coniferous hop, light citrus notes. Vert flavorful brew, intense hoppiness, very resinous, very bitter with strong boozy malt profile as well. Palate is full bodied with med carbonation, definitely some alcohol on the finish. Pretty intense brew, good.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2015 Typical IPA aroma and a very high hop rate. Got a cold a couple of days into my visit to BC (thanks Air Canada...) and it was just about the only thing I could taste. Infection free though, this was a mighty slug of beer; drink too many and your throat will be like the bottom of a parrot cage next morning. Incidentally, one draught sample I tried was as clear as mud, which although it reflected badly on the bar concerned does at least shows that they aren’t tampering too much with the final product. All the IPA virtues and vices but you could hardly call it subtle.

Great IPA. Fantastic aromas. Somehow the hops seem to affect me besides the alcohol.

Bought a large bottle of this after hearing great things. So disappointed. It was completely oxidized so hope these guys sort out their packaging.

Very cloudy orange yellow body with a foamy white head. Aroma is faintly citrus and pine. Taste matches with a strong orange influence. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
