Bottle from LetsPour.com, poured into a 330ml tulip. Slightly hazy medium gold pour with a finger of pillowy white head. Pungent hop aroma. Very tropical. Pineapple, orange, grapefruit, and a touch of pine and mint. Very bitter. Sweet citrusy hops complement a base of pilsner malt, finishing very dry and resinous. Body is on the light side of medium, surprisingly drinkable. Quite flavorful but just a touch too bitter and dry for my tastes. I would call this Canada’s answer to Ruination.

Bottle - Grapefruit, pine and some well balanced sweet malts on the nose. Clear copper with a nice medium white head. An intense bitterness right of the bat, that thankfully mellows but still lingers. Pine, resin and a bit of alcohol. A nice rich mouthfeel, carbonated perfectly. Too much bitterness destroys the balance.

Golden orange with a good pale head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, passionfruit, pine and a hint of honey. Bitter on the palate, slightly sticky mouthfeel, bitter finish that increases as you drink it. Taste is passionfruit, pineapple, spruce, pine, citrus. If you’re into the pine/grapefruit type hops then you’ll love this but I prefer IPAs with other types of hops.

Expected a lite more aroma for the style but it sill gives a nice nose. Taste well, bitter but not to harsh on hops with a well ballanced medium to full body.

Un très bon IPA du style traditionelle. Un ambrée brumeux avec une solide mousse blanche. Le nez et goût sont d’houblon. Amertume moyenne pour le style. Pas trop complex, selon moi c’est l’embodiement idéal d’un IPA classique.

Many gave high marks for this one but I found the hops to be a bit too citrus-y if that’s a word. Nice head and a bright orange body, the intended layers of hops don’t mingle as well as I hoped they would. Still a highly drinkable brew but I don’t think it’s the amazing beer many say it is.

Bottle from Mcberko, thanks Matt. Pours a hazy golden with a little wispy head. Aroma is dank hops that my dog is afraid of (hates hoppy beer). Flavor is nice dank hops with a bit of a woody taste. Very nice beer, great recommendation.

I'm finally reviewing this. Obviously, based on my rating, it's dandy. Long-time Canadian IPA rival to one other brewery for best Canadian IPA. That said, while excellent, this beer falls a tad short for best in Canada, IMHO. Solid lacing, from a pint of burnt gold, liquid greatness. Aroma is toffee, bread, milk, pine, and citrus. Taste is floral hop maltiness. Very even finish of hoppy mmmmmm with malty yes.

Draft at Alibi Room in Vancouver. Most beer folks I spoke with in Vancouver were very enthusiastic about this beer, so I had to give it a try. Pours a medium tan color, with a medium amount of head and lacing. Aroma is complex and slightly sweet, leaning resinous. Thin body with a smooth finish, also resinous. In the style of San Diego IPAs (AleSmith, Green Flash), and while not on the level of either of those two, this is nevertheless a really nice IPA.
