4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Courtesy of a friend on his way back from Victoria. Pours a lovely burnished gold with a thick dense foam cap. Lotís of big tropical fruit hits the nose with some nice sweet malt as well. Slightly cloying on the mouth with a nice big citrus bitterness. Great IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle (650 ml). From FondueVoodoo, thanks! Clear golden/orange with medium diminishing off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is nice with tropical fruits/citrus, resinous notes, peach presence, light malt and light grassy notes. Taste is slightly sweet with pine, citrus, malt and light bitterness. Medium body. Moderate to good carbonation. Dry finish. Super drinkable and refreshing. Nice West Coast IPA. Different, but as good as Sartori Harvest. Iím impressed by Driftwood hoppy beers so far!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit hops is quite powerful and enjoyable. Taste is also a great mix between some citrus hops with a good amount of grapefruit notes, medium bitterness and some light caramelized malt with a touch of residual sugar. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Very well brewed but I would preferred a bit less residual sugar with a dryer finish.

Tap@alibi room. Clear dark golden. Intense savignon grape aromas. Guess is tomahawk or Nelson savignon. Fresh hops. Not that bitter. Great brew for everyone.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper-amber under a bubbly coppery head with lace that climbs up the sides of my glass as if trying to escape. Head lingers blotchy and bubbly. Swirls with swathes of lace and tons of head.
Massive citrus and pine up front with just a hint of cat-pee in the back. Biscuit malt and crackers underneath.
Medium weight in the front and thins out just a smidge in the back. Gentle rind and pine finish lingers long after each quaff. Caramelized biscuit malt crunch underneath and along the sides. Cat pee in the breath Ė again mild and not off-putting.
Overall a solid IPA with bold flavors though a bit lacking in the complexity. Iíd be more than happy to drink another though.

Pour is hazy (almost clear) amber with white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of piney an citrusy hops. Taste is moderately sweet with good bitterness without being too aggressive, good piney hops, citrus, some caramel. Low-medium body and medium carbonation. Very good

A: pours an apricot honey ale with less than a single finger of soapy white head. This dissipates to a broken sheet of the same atop a near excellent clarity brew. Spotty lace.
S: sweet biscuit malts and bubble gum and citrus hops. Best nose Iíve had in BC so far.
T: nice bitter pinch with plenty of those bubble gum flavors and citric rinds. Just a hint of the malt comes thru this beast making it almost like a summer American ipa, but a blend of west coast and great lakes style hop scheduling.
M: really thin, moderate carb and dry finish. Would like a little more body.
O: probably the best ipa Iíve had from the few breweries Iíve sampled here in Victoria. They could probably sell this stateside without any trouble (on tap).
