Golden, clear pour. 2" head. Great lacing. All hops in the aroma and taste. Pine and citrus. Can feel the bitterness coming in the finish, then it fades into a real nice smoothness. Bottle 1 from Victoria. 071512

With nothing left in my fridge that wasn’t a rating I ended up grabbing this. Sorry TO crew! Appearance: Cloudy orange, tiny white head. Aroma: Lemon, pepper, yeast, fruity hops, a little alcohol, leafy, lemon too. Flavour: Sharp tangy hops, a little damp cardboard, fruity on the tongue, sharp, long fruity finish. Not bad.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Citrus strong hop aroma. Pours coppery almost orange and quite clear. Taste is a strong hop with again citrus notes. Medium mouth feel with no real notion of a higher gravity ipa. Finish is strong with a lingering and building hops after taste. Great beer on a summer day.

Bottle with the Vuong siblings in Vancouver. Pours a bright hazy orange body with no head, very minimal lacing. Aroma is fresh citrus, pine and fresh hop resin. Mouthfeel is medium and smooth with notes of citrus dominating, nearly no bitterness, grapefruit and light pine.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
What a quality west coast style IPA. From Canada, I wouldn’t necessarily expect such a pine and grapefruit hop presence, but there it is. The aroma is a strong point, with grass, flowers, pine and citrus all present. The aroma is pure hops, a touch of water and light malt. The body has a better malt presence but doesn’t sacrifice the clean water finish. Fresh bomber went down so easily. The only knock is the alcohol at 7% is a little high for a beer that I’d love to session, and that it sticks a bit on the tongue with a tannic finish at the back. Otherwise, this is a beautiful beer, even including the appearance which is amber and has some decent (but not a ton of) lace. Thanks, Mom, for bringing this back!

Pours orangish amber, nice head. Lots of piney and grapefruity hops! But balanced enough that it’s not just bitter. Worth the steep price tag.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pale amber pour. The nose is really bright and hoppy. A lot of grapefruit and pine in addition to some clean resiny hoppiness. Bright and fresh and lively. A top-notch IPA. Does exactly what it’s supposed to.
