What a quality west coast style IPA. From Canada, I wouldn’t necessarily expect such a pine and grapefruit hop presence, but there it is. The aroma is a strong point, with grass, flowers, pine and citrus all present. The aroma is pure hops, a touch of water and light malt. The body has a better malt presence but doesn’t sacrifice the clean water finish. Fresh bomber went down so easily. The only knock is the alcohol at 7% is a little high for a beer that I’d love to session, and that it sticks a bit on the tongue with a tannic finish at the back. Otherwise, this is a beautiful beer, even including the appearance which is amber and has some decent (but not a ton of) lace. Thanks, Mom, for bringing this back!

Smell: orange peel, grapefruit, pine needle, slight musty/dank note. Taste: bittersweet, creamy mouth feel & carbonation. Finish: pine resin, caramel, fruity hop bitterness. Nicely balanced between bitter, sweet, resiny, juicy citrus flavors. (bottled 10/20/15, tasted 04/10/16)

Currently my favorite IPA in Canada. Truly a West Coast IPA in the style of Breakside IPA (Oregon). Also very similar to Burial’s (Asheville, NC) Sex Wax IPA, which describes itself as "dry west coast-style IPA". The aroma is so strong and wonderful, that I can smell it the moment I open a bottle. The color is a light golden yellow and it is best as it warms up.

Bottle - 650ml. Hazy golden body with an average, white frothy head. Hoppy aroma with flowery and mango hints. Its good hoppy taste carries herbal, citrusy, and some woody notes. Ends with a decent bitter/herbal finish. Enjoyable.

Bttle 650ml LCBO. Col collant. Couleur dorée. Fruité, agrumes. Belle bière qu’on a hâte voir au Québec.

From a 65 cl bottle. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of mandarin orange, pineapple and pine. Bitter finish.

Bomber Bottle. Pours a hazy light amber colour with a thin white head. Resin hop aroma. Taste is moderately bitter, with lots of flavouring hops. Notes of spruce, a bit floral, some citrus. Warms to a medium-sweet malt profile. Medium-heavy mouthfeel. Finish is hoppy, lots on the spruce. Overall, an excellent northwest style IPA, highly recommended.

Bottle from LCBO. Pours hazy bright orange with well-retaining and lacing off-white head. Sweet jammy-malty, pineappley-citric nose and flavour. Fresh fruity sweetness continuing with citric minty bitterness. Pleasantly thin but refreshing carbonation, somewhat oily, good medium body. So nicely balanced. Excellent.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Bottle from the Beerhive, drunk on the hottest day of the year after some lacklustre gardening as some kind of reward. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of near-minty herbs, savoury, sweet malt, faint citrus. Taste is resinous, sweet orange, then a forced rhubarb kind of thing, stewed with white sugar, lightly astringent, but also fruity and sweet, like John Inman in Are You Being Served. Good balance of flavours, lots going on, but also slips down very easily. Texture is just on the right side of oily, fragrantly bitter on the finish.
