Expected a lite more aroma for the style but it sill gives a nice nose. Taste well, bitter but not to harsh on hops with a well ballanced medium to full body.

Really nice medium bodied astringenly bitter beer, which i hoppy in resin aromas, but not overpowering or overly complex. Just very well made with a little caramel.

Draught @ Alibi Room, Vancouver. Clear gold, fine - fading - white head. Lovely balanced, bitter IPA. Hoppy nose, fruity undertone, hard hop finish. Despite the hop-whollop quite session able.

Smell of citrus, pine and melon. Smell of malt as well. Pours golden, with last off-white head, clear. Tastes as I would imagine and IPA, grapefruit peel, citrus notes, somewhat piney, the bitterness and sweetness are balanced well, you notice them but neither is out is sync. Medium body, moderate carbonation and dry finish. Top notch. For me, this was the first IPA I had that was perfectly balanced, like ying and yang, the hops are countered perfectly with the malt and it is executed perfectly. Why not 5/5? It is missing a wow factor. Buy this is what IPAs should taste like. I have had in bottle that wasn't as good as this one, but in the 5 years I have been drinking this beer, one bad batch is bound to get in there.

Translucent golden red, medium sized head, served cold. Pungent aroma consisting of malt, citrus, and hops. Delectable taste. Initially creamy smooth, but as the flavour progresses, grassy notes of citrus and strong hops become apparent with a bitter finish.

Bomber poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, dank bud, grapefruit and light pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, earthiness, dank bud, grapefruit and light pine with a crisp dry lightly bitter lingering earthy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample on tap at Craft Beer Market (Vancouver). Pours clear honey blond with a thick white head. Some lacing. Aroma: hops, tropical fruits, pine. Taste: smooth bitterness. A tad malty, but just enough. Hints of fruits (pineapple) and honey. Medium bodied. Refreshing. Very good IPA.

22oz Bottle at Peckinpah BBQ Van B.C The smell coming from this bottle after it being placed on the table is just insane. Poured into the glass provided and wow. The medium yet SOLID white head just explodes with sweet sticky pine, citrus hemp and petunias. Incredibly sticky citrus and pine bitterness leads onto a very subtle biscuit malt that’s hardly noticeable under all the hops. Solid carbonation. Dangerously easy to drink and so rewarding flavour wise. Fat Tug easily earns the label of my favorite IPA to date.

Pours clear, too clear for an unpasteurized IPA. Thick head, hooker lace. Perhaps one of my all time favourite bouquets. Sweet fruit and citrus, piney undertones. I must say, this beer has changed since it was first introduced. Its not as chewy as it once was and the hop blast is nowhere near the same. That being said, it is still delicious and a fine example of a Northwest IPA. Fantastic! Who said accountants cant be fun?
