Golden lovely pour. Aroma is easygoing hops, vague fruits. Taste is nice sweetness up front, lovely orange mandarin citrus balanced with sweetness. Such a good IPA - one of my favourites from recent beers.

Many thanks to Matt for this beautiful beer! Cheers my friend!

and 48 blillion litres later a review has been born. Easily the best label ever produced. last of the last dozen bombers i bought in bc for 510c ea. if beer was that cheap here id have 70000 reviews give or take 4. oh very excellence of beerness is in moo glass generously gifted at rgab 20fifteen. stirred and shaken makes murky bliss with Serta quality padding. mangoz, rrgfroot, thickness and suweet smelling appendage action. subperb flavz - mellonz. x-betwenn rrgraipfroot and un-sweetind, mellow pine, zippy zip, drying bitterness. caramel is mellow. not ultra balanced but I really dont care since i will marry this beer in an arranged marriage that cost my parents 7 goats, my ’Hounds of the Farside’ book and a Little People Disco Dance Party CD. Hell of a dowry if you ask me. enouf complexity to keep even the thickest beer nerd unibrow from crinkling. i sure like this beer more than i like this review. Ichiban grillin on the back right burner loaded with extra sodium and way too many poorly cut up green onions. lunchtime gass will be goddamn epic. wish you were here to inhale my bum molecules and agree with me that this is far and beyond the best ipa in Canada.

Driftwood nailed it on this one. A very flavorful full bodied ipa. Pours a nice golden color with a thick white head. Aroma and taste is piney, grassy with a hint of citrus. Very bitter but yet very smooth, almost a creamy finish. Good work Driftwood.

10 ounce sample at Alibi Room. Aroma has a bit of a pine character. Malt sweetness is also present. Transparent golden body with a medium white head. Small bubbles. Starts with some slight metallic bitter astringency. Grassy and herbal. Neutral malts in the middle. Finishes with grapefruit hoppiness. Fairly bitter. Not as balanced as I prefer.

Bottle. Gold in colour with a bit of haze and medium carbonation. Aromas are of fresh orange, wet conifer boughs, and a bit of pale malt. More of a grapefruity citrus profile in the mouth with notes of melon, cut pine, and earth. Medium bodied with a substantial earthy bitterness. A well executed, bold, mid-school IPA.

Crisp very slightly hazy amber and light copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall light off-white head. Aroma of very pungent grassy, piney and citrusey hops with some light metallic notes and a bit of alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Very grassy and herbal flavour up front from the hops with some decidedly pungent notes at the end with a good balance of malt. Aftertaste shows a light piney flavour with some lighter malt notes, a bit of alcohol and some fresh cut grass flavour as well. Overall, a nice PNW IPA with a bit more grass than those from the USA and much less malt, making this on par with a decent West Coast IPA in total. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Steamworks Liqour Store in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 08-June-2015 for CA$6,90 sampled at home in Washington on 30-August-2015.

Bottle gifted to me by my parents. Thanks! A: Cloudy orange color with a foamy off-white head. N: Potent grapefruit and pine in the forefront. Ample earth and peppercorn. Some mango and melon, maybe a far cry of pineapple. Leaves and crackers. Bit of damp autumn. T: Stickingly bitter underpinned by a noticeable sweetness. M: Very resinous, medium body, foamy carbonation, and its fair share of alcohol. O: A scraping West Coast IPA. Has a nice balance between fruit and floral, but this one is also just outside my strike zone. Not by much though; it;s still worthy.
