Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, 3 December 2009. Gold colour. Some assertive citric hops - lemon but some orange peel too. Good drinking. Getting late and my notes are beginning to deteriorate.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A golden beer with no head. The aroma has notes of citrusy and flowery hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and hay, leading to a dry, bitter, and lemony finish.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2010 BC, Driftwood Spars Hotel, Trevaunance Cove, Cornwall (room 2). Filmy gold with a fine white sheet of head; swamped with particulate towards the bottom of the bottle. Aroma: well-hopped with peach, mango and pineapple glinting through CO2 and muddier vegetal undercurrents (cheese and onion crisps?).. Flavour tropical (pineapple) hop-dominated with a husky malt and dry roasted peanut backdrop; fragrant and piney/tropical hops dulled by yeast and fizz. Hint of shampoo finish. Solid, but as with so many bottled English beers I get the impression this is a misrepresentative, skewed version of a tastier cask product. That said, they’ve not been bottling for long and it’s still an enjoyable beer..
