Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Amber brown with a thin head. Aromas are biscuit and toffee with light aniseed and herbal notes. Raisins with traces of banana. Leafy hops with candy sugar and autumn fruits. Flavours are weetabix malts with leafy, nettle hops and spices. Light citrus and apple fruitiness. Spritzy on the palate with hints of ginger. Nice.

BC. Murky copper with a fast-diminishing, honeycombed white foam. Aroma pure Belgium; Brett-like sour, rhubarb and custard, gooseberry, cinnamon- actually something of a ringer for Orval. Redcurrant and ash flavour with flecks of TCP, yeasty red apple peel acidity and more Orval-like bite and Bazooka chew. Some earth and clovey spice. Fizzing carbonation. Typically weird English BC bitter where the yeast and conditioning overpower the hops and malt...still, an enjoyable brew-big thanks to the folks for bringing it me back from Driftwood Spars.
