COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Four months in Kentucky Bourbon barrels has transformed this formidable Russian Imperial Stout to somewhere beyond the event horizon; the result is a beer of ’infinite density’ and compelling complexities. ABV initially 11.8%, was 14.6% too.

Bottle 650ml. 2012 vintage. Pours black with medium beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, butterscotch, caramel, bourbon. Taste is of lots of bourbon, roasted malt, some bitterness, ashy but not in an unpleasant way. Palate: Full bodied. Soft-medium carbonation. Overall: Nice bourbon. Nice malt features.

bottle shared by mathieuc, thanks bro! pours unclear dark brown with a reviving beige cap, leaving nice lacing. burnt and smoked maltiness, spicy chilies, cjarred cherries, bourbony-nutty caramel, tobacco, clean. light carbonation, medium body - oily; hot tingling piney-smoky finish. shy barreling. nice scandinavian-like ris nonetheless.

2012 vintage bottle received from someone I forget as a part of a CanBIF box. Thanks dude. Pours a good black with a beige rim that leaves good lacing. Nose is chocolate, coconut, light vanilla and light alcohol. Taste is of grapes, coffee, lots of alcohol (but not really bothering) and chocolate. Body is medium-full and carbonation soft. Overall a fine barrel aged imperial stout, less intense than I was expecting (good).

A Beer snob made me drink this. it’s a good-looking beer. It smells like Bailey. The taste is mixed.it has a strong alcohol-taste and bitter as well. This beer has more musculine features. It made me drink.

Poured from the tap. Black with tan head. Getting a bit of the bourbon, some mild chocolate and coffee, subtle leather and tobacco. Good, but not the best imperial stout.
