4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
In short: A very bretty/funky and very floral (lilacs and other scented garden flowers) golden ale. Wow!
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed approximately 7 months after the beer release. Bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt
The look: Clear pale golden body topped by a large off-white head with medium retention
In long: Highly aromatic nose with bretty funk, a lot of lilacs, aromatic pepper like Voatsiperifery (the only one I now really know). In some ways with the lilacs and brett there was something a bit orval-esque about the aroma of this beer. Taste is funky, crackery malts, unsweetened scented candies, garden flowers petals, very low sweetness sensation, some biting grapefruits (often happens with brett beers). The brett was really coming out strong, I always wait 6 to 8 months before I drink brett beers, and I think it really paid-off with this one. No sweetness sensation whatsoever and a multi-layer of funk that excited each and every of my taste buds. Body feels very light. Underrated wild beer. I drank this beer with my favorite drinking buddy but he didn’t want to taste it, he never wants to drink my beers, he doesn’t like craftbeer, that’s why he’s my favorite drinking buddy.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks to Derek for this one. Pours a foggy light gold with a big frothy white top. Aroma is light malts and peppery spice. Taste is a maltiness that dries out the palate. Light peppery notes and a slight funk. Interesting beer and one I would like to try with some age on it.

2.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours clear golden, small head. Hmm...smells kind of like a public restroom which puts me off right away, and for a while I consider just poring it out. The horrible aroma gets a little better after a while though, so I decide to actually taste it. Spicy, citrus, dry, light malt in the background. Drinkable, not much more. It doesn’t seem like this beer has aged well...By far the worst Driftwood beer I’ve had.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at a recent BA/RB tasting... Poured pale golden with a thick, white head. I didn’t get much brett funk here. But still a nice Belgian style ale with some candied sweetness and yeast esters. A mild hop bitterness too. Perhaps it was too young.

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
(Bottle) Pours clear golden with an off-white head. The aroma holds poo, urine, mould, lemon and earthy spices. Light oxidized. Nice malt profile. Light fruity. The flavour is light to medium sweet, light bitter and light acidic. Spicy, light citric, bit woodsy and bready. The mouthfeel is bit round with light carbonation. Bitter and light paper-like finish. Medium bodied.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very floral and peppery in the nose with underlying fruity esters. Clear deep golden coloured body is topped by a generous and long lasting, fine bubbled, off white head that coats the sides of the glass. Toasted malt flavours blend nicely with spicy and floral notes. The undercurrent of brett is unmistakable if less pronounced than say Orval, but there is a similaroty here in the flavour profile. Very dry with fairly strong, lightly prickly carbonation. Tulip glass. Just a bove fridge temperature. Bottle purchased at Brewery Creek.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very nice orange-gold body with a pile of carbonation, solid white-beige head on top. Aroma has slight sour ale funk and a load of steeping hops. Flavour is local malts with a dry hop finish. Bitterness as an aftertaste, some sour ale notes as well. And I like sour ales - this is a good mix, though I wish they had upped the sour and eased off on the bitter hops. Worth a try.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
8/5/11. Bomber courtesy Adam! Clearish orange pour with a small tan head. Slight funk on the nose with Belgian yeast and esters. Surisingly light/thin flavor but with a definite funk touch and plenty of citrus character as well. Tasty!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poor is light with very little head. Smells straight up funky with a hint of roast. Taste kinda sweaty. It’s also got a distinct malt lemon and fresh celery taste. Good beer thanks Adam!
