Bomber. Clear lighter orange copper, white foam settles and mostly fades. Pungent tropical fruity citrus grapefruit hop aroma. Floral bitter grapefruit taste dominates, subtle c-malts catch up a bit as it warms. Average carbonation, medium bodied, aggressively hopped. 9% ABV is well hidden. Finish is clean, bitter, grapefruity. DNFL (Definitely Not For Lagerboys)

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of strong hoppy notes with citrus flavours is pretty nice with some resinous and piney notes also identifiable. Taste is dominated by loads of citrus and piney hoppy flavours with some sweet malt notes that are also discernable. Body is full with great carbonation. Nice hops profile but malt base if just a bit too sweet for my liking in the style.

My Bottom Line:
Blood oranges and various tropical fruit swim atop this Double IPA’s honeyed sugars before laying on the resinous hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the misty honeyed amber.
-The aroma is beautifully hoppy, but the flavor profile is a tad too sweet for my liking within the style.
-The flavor profile is cohesive and refined.
-The bitterness is nicely offset by the honeyed malt sugars.

Bottle.

Smells sweet of strawberry and banana. Pours a cloudy and golden. Tastes slightly sweet, with fruity flavours with some spiciness. Medium body, well balance finish.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear, orangey yellow with off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and tropical citrus hops. Taste same, but balance didn’t quite hit home for me. Bit of an alcohol kick, medium body.

Bottle - Grapefruit, tropical fruit and rind. Clearish gold with a rich white head. Grapefruit, sweet malts and nice citrus and tropical fruit. Not nearly as boozy and rich as I though it would be. Quite pleasant and deceptively drinkable.

Bomber from Ian via CANBIF. Clear light amber with light off white head. Light citrus, musty hop, grapefruit rind, some resin. Moderate carbonation, full body, blended citrus rind and booze on the palate, very bitter yet a huge boozy sweetness too. Interesting.

Pours a slightly hazy(likely from dry hopping) amber/light copper with a nice sticky full off white head that leaves lace all up the glass. Aroma is Sweet citrus, floral, and mild bread. Flavours of grapefruit, resin, high bitterness, mild alcohol,, light caramel malts and a bit bready.

650 ml. bottle (9% abv.) a friend left in our fridge. Pours a thick, oily light brown copper colour. Head is thick, sudsy, and frothy leaving big lacing around the glass. Aroma is hops (cascade) honey, grass, alcohol, floral, and earthy. Taste is tons of hops, honey, caramel, grass, grapefruit, mint, plums, grapes, mild alcohol, and pepper. Palate is warm with little carbonation, traces of pepper, and a very bitter dry aftertaste from the heavy amount of hops. Tastes very pure and real, no extracts or weird preservatives found in this brew. An excellent DIPA from a very reputable brewery.

A touch hazy in the glass with a nice dark amber colour. Nice head and lacing. Citrus and bread aroma with a touch of caramel. Loads of hops and coffee and citrus on the tongue. Complex. Nice brew. And not a whack of alcohol so the flavouRs come through.
