3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy gold with frothy white head with good lacing. Fruity Mango and definite hay yeast funk. Most likey due to the high ferm temp (100 deg F) according to brewer. Wheaty, cereal, slight nut, and hay flavor. Well balanced with a light body and dry finish. Nice saison that reins truer to the old farmhouse style than many.

Tap at brewery. Light copper with small white head. Aroma of straw, yeast notes, and mango. Light body with yeast funk, notes of citrus, and a slight buttery-ness. This batch fermented near 100F (according to brewer) giving some definite yeast funk.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Poured hazy pale straw with a medium-sized white head. Aroma was lots of spice, earthy yeasty notes. Flavor is earthy, yeasty, lots of citrus, moderately sweet. Overly spiced for my taste. This seems to be a trend with American saisons. How about a little subtlety, folks?
