Medium to good, light-beige head over deep red-brown, clear beer. Sweetish, near syrupy malt smell, bit of greenery/grass. Sweet, human sweat, liquorice, coloured malts, bit of bananaester and retronasal, fusels, making the finish a bit vinous. Medium bodied. Vinosity increases with temperature. Not bad at all. Pity it starts a bit bland, betters afterwards.

Collapsing, brownish, thick head, dense; chestnut to chocolate brown beer, opaque. Very fruity, estery and yeasty nose with rosewater, "amandine", almonds or franchipane, grape fruitdrops... Ends a bit chocolate-woody, but always very sweet. At least the taste is less sweet, but still very perfumed. Some dark malts, (sweet) chocolate, very distant almond hints. Very thick, creamy MF. As the beer is very young, I suspect this will diminish, as will the sweetness. But it is promising. I can see good future for this.
Made to the best of my knowledge at De Proef, not De Graal.

Bottle 33 cl from Willems in Grobbendonk (B). Dark coppery beer with off-white and firm foam, fizzing active. Malty nose rouns, fruity and sweet. The taste is soft, roasted malt, notes of chocolate, toffy. Roundness and slightly acid point which vanishes in malted flavors without the alcoholic power.

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with caramel and mildly dried fruity touch. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly toasty caramelly malty taste with notes of dried fruits and a rising alcoholic touch towards the sweet and malt-accentd finish. Not very demanding. 04.XI.10
