glkaiser (868), Seattle, Washington, USA Feb 4, 2006 Tasted at the Strange Brewfest at Water Street Brewing in Port Townsend, WA. Great citrus smell. Solid IPA.... DrunkAsASkunk (848), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Aug 17, 2005 This beer was had on tap at Brouwers Hopfest in Seattle, WA. This beer pours a clear coppery color with a creamy white pearlish head and somewhat good lacing. The aroms was fairly basic, but nonetheless appealing. Caramel, pine, wood, and floral citric notes were the dominant smells. The flavor struck me as using a particularly nice array of caramel to balance out the rather boring usage of hops. Bittering finish with an exponential type bitterness which grows with time. Definitely 70 plus IBU’s. Thick and full-bodied with an active carbonation level..prickling in respects. Clean and to the point, some citrus but almost all acetic qualities. Acceptable in most respects. 5000 (2400), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Aug 12, 2005 Draught @ Brouwer’s Cafe during HopFest 2005: Very coppery amber, semi-translucent, moderate white head, spotty lacing, very subtle carbonation.   Slightly earthy hop nose.   Hoppy start, slight citrus peel, very pale malts.   Fairly clean finish, bitterness lingers.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Somewhat earthy hop finish, with a very subtle citrus peel presense.   A bit above average in my opinion.
Crit (2213), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jun 21, 2005 Hazy amber, lasting beige head. Good citrus nose. Nice citrus hop profile, medium strength finish
