3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep nose of chestnuts and cherries with just a faint hint of dicytle and faintly fruity. The mouth is much hoppier than the nose suggests. Moderate hoppy start with bitterness hitting everywhere and dominates the palate. Dicytles more present, but not overwhelming. Moderate bitter finish. Interesting.

Bottle at Novare Res.
Pours a dark clear brown with a small off white head. Aroma is malty with hints of nuts and yeast. Flavor is like many browns, a little toffee, a little butterscotch, and a little coffee even. I’ve realized German Dunkels are very good! Super smooth and easy drinking. Simple enough to have many of.
