The bottle looks very simple, but good, the beer in the glass not very zippy, still a nice head. Starts malty, soft, hoppy notes in the background. Notes of caramel. Finish a bit earthy-grasy, still very soft malty with notes of chocolate. Not bad!

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011

Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 22, 2011
The beer in glass is beautiful amber-colored with a lot of durable foam. The smell is spicy sweet-malty. Starts with sweet caramel malt, spicy. The aftertaste is chocolaty caramel, subtly bitter.

Bottle, 5.5% bought at the brewery. Farty aroma, some vegetable. Clear brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is caramelly and slightly sweet. The alcohol does not shine much through. OK bitter finish.

Swing-top bottle (from Koelschtrinker). Sweet caramel malt and grass hops aroma. Clear copper color with nice big ran head. Slightly sweet caramel malt flavor. Watery, metallic finish. Not bad but pretty weak.
