Tap at the brewery - clear copper - lively pour - seems very much like a lager (an Oktoberfest, to be exact) - a lot of clean, smooth, lightly sweet maltiness - a fair amount of toasted grain flavor - moderate bitterness on the tail end - a little husky in the finish, but otherwise clean and lightly estery - not bad.

On tap @ brewery. Clear yellowish copper with a metallic biscuit malt aroma. Taste was toasty and biscuity with a lot of lager yeast doughiness. Kinda bland overall and too yeasty.

Growler, shared with Gabe. Pours a medium, light beige head, over a clear, dark amber (SRM 10) body.....nose is light toffee/ caramel, light cereal....taste is light cereal, toffee/caramel, finishing with a light bitterness, and, unfortunately a hint of fusel heat.....mouth feel is on the lighter end, carbonation adds foam. The nose is better than the taste which is quite simple and disappointing. BJCP 7/3/10/4/5

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2009 On tap at brewery. Looks like iced tea, roasty nose, touch of banana esters on tongue. A little more bitter than other alts I’ve had. nice roastiness, as it warms. hints of... apricot, and nice effervescence. Light palate. -- edit: glad I had this one, looks like it just won Gold at GABF 2009!
