Dry Dock Blackberry Porter

cask at the brewery. dark brown to black in color with a nice gray/tan head. roasty nose without much hint of the blackberry. strong malt flavors roast some chocolate, covered up the light berry notes. there was a bit more berry taste in the finish. a bit of medicinal/herbal notes that i did not expect. i made the mistake of trying the dark mild after this one, that was a mistake, i’ll be back to try the mild first and then something stronger in flavor after.
