COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our aggressively-hopped American pale ale. The recipe changes a little every time!

Steve_0 (2592) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 30, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Pour is a bright golden orange color with a frothy white head and great lacing. Somewhat hoppy, weed, lightly fruity, biscuity, grass, and orange peel in the aroma. Taste is grassy, light lemon, dough, oranges, and bread with a light bitter finish. Light body with medium carbonation. Seems clean just kind of boring.

At Dry Dock with Stephen. Pours murky orange. Aroma is thin, mild rye. Some earth hops. Taste is sweet malt, raw rye malt, some earth hops. Medium bitterness. Not very good not session able.

A little hop and malt nose. An okay balance between the two with a slight hop finish.

Tap @ Dry Dock on 1/14. Something was off in this one for me. The aroma was okay - grass, biscuit and over ripe flowers. Taste started bright, but quickly showed musty. Not aweful, but a let down.

On tap at Dry Dock. Later on cask at Hops & Pie. Quite hoppy. Nice tropical and citrus components. Refreshing and bitter. Quite nice.

Tap. Clear gold with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is pears, grassy and floral hops, cookie malt, and lemon. Flavor is malt forward with strong carbonated water taste ending with bitter hops; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth.

draft. caramel, toffee, wet, droppy, flacid hops that taste like old grapefruit pith, fennel sprigs and celery stalks. syrupy, thin and flabby with no supported malt or hop acid whatsoever. semi-sweet orange candy with powdery, dirty dry-wall yeast.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 12/20
drjay44 (2614) - Salida, Colorado, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Growler shared with Gabe. Pours a thin off white head, with some lacing, over a hazy, dark gold (SRM 6) body.....nose is citrus, grapefruit peel, toffee/caramel....taste is malts with toffee/caramel, leading to grapefruit bitterness....mouth feel medium, carbonation medium. Hops are a bit unbalanced with a lean into citrus, but otherwise a fairly standard American Pale Ale. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6

on tap-pours an offwhite head with gold color. Aroma is sweet lemon, some light malt. Taste is sweet lemon zest hops, secondary light malt. Crisp. Guess I was here for the right batch!

arminjewell (6158) - Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA - NOV 8, 2011
Pour is slightly hazy orange yellow with white head at the brewery. Aroma brings notes of spices, grass, hints of lemon, nice sweet biscuit. Taste is a nice mix of bitter grass, pine, hints of lemon and orange goes into a nice sweet cracker like biscuit, finishes slightly bitter but tasty.
