Tap. Pours clear brown with a medium, fizzy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is caramel and toast malt, fruity esters, earthy hops, brown sugar and chestnuts. Flavor is nutty, malty with light esters, brown sugar, light hops and bitterness, and a sweet finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

Draft at the brewery. Tasting of 12/24/11. Pours a thin, light beige, medium duration, head, with some lacing over a clear brown (SRM 25) body.....nose is coffee, chocolate.....taste is coffee, chocolate....mouth feel light, carbonation high. This is a pleasant enough beer, but it is rather simple to be highly rated. BJCP 7/3/11/4/6
