Clear semi-dark amber, like a brandy or something, no head. Sweet nose with light biscuity caramel and something like almond. Flavor is the same, very tasty and bright and sweet. A bit of earthy red sweetness, mild caramel, and something like almond. Pleasantly surprised.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is deep brown with a frothy tan head and great lacing. Husky, grainy, somewhat spicy, earthy, bready, and floral aroma. Taste is cocoa, bready, grainy, toasty, doughy, and tea leaves. Medium body with medium-to-high carbonation. Meh.

Taste is a mix of caramel, toffee, some slight spice going into toast, bready notes, some yeast, touch of orange, finishing fairly bitter, dry.

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber hewad. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light fruittiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.
