Had another pint (I’ve had it a few times before w/o rating) pulled off the new beer machine at the brewery a few days ago. Fantastic mild, beautiful brown great mouthfeel. Crisp, roasty hints, touches of vanilla, nice finish. Since Dry Dock shares the recipes, this is up next for my homebrew setup. I heart this beer -- a perfect session beer.

On tap at Dry Dock poured a clear brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of roastiness, coffee and bitter chocolate with a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of cocoa, coffee, roastiness and light vanilla with a crisp liongering roasty finish. A guy could drink a gallon or two of this!

cask at the brewery. as i’ve been told, i have a man crush on this brewery. if they keep making things like this my feelings may escalate to the point where they may need a restraining order. nice dark brown body with a fat overcarbonated head. malt nose some chalky slightly nutty chocolate scents. taste, powdery cocoa, chocolate candy goodness and a bit of honey. there is something like peanut butter here maybe(i’ve been tasting peanut butter everywhere for some reason, it may be a brain tumor) very quenching, i’d just finished another gruelling day off consisiting of waking up showering and taking the rail and light rail to auarora with a fun side trip to make bankers uncomfortable and i needed something to drink, and this did the trick one of those that i can be satisfied with one, but damnit it tastes good so have another, well shit the conversation is good, have another, i’m writing with a lot of commas, have another. only 3.2 so i can have a few. a damn fine session beer, and if you can get it on cask do so. i would have drunk nothing but this except the old ale called my name& i had to answer. i think what little hop flavor is more along the lines of earthy/floral, but i wasn’t that worried about it to really think on it while i was drinking. we need more good milds. 3 6 7 5 15
